Flat global cues and profit booking at higher levels see our market trade weak. Sensex is trading at 16,424, down 75 points and Nifty is at 4,874, down 23 points from the previous close.

At noon, the market is rallying with banking stocks and particularly RIL leading the gains. Sensex is trading at 16,603, up 104 points from its previous close, and Nifty is at 4,930, up 31 points.

An hour into opening, the market continues to advance on the back of global cheer. Asian markets are still trading firm. Sensex is trading at 16,580, up 81 points from its previous close, and Nifty is at 4,920, up 22 points.

The market opens on a good and steady note. Earlier, the US markets rallied in late trade and the Dow added 203 odd points. Asian markets are trading with good gains. Sensex is trading at 16,630, up 131 points from its previous close, and Nifty is at 4,934, up 35 points.
